Ruth got a letter asking her to make an appointment at the hospital but she hid it from Marty. She told him about it later and they had a heart-to-heart about having no secrets. He persuaded her to make the appointment. Ruth was upset and told him she's constantly worried she'll lose control - she's scared at what she's capable of. Jo apologised to Luca about her drunkenness the other night - she felt guilty about having a good time without Billy. Gina and Archie broke the news of their engagement to the family. Ruth and Jo were delighted but Luca was far from impressed and confronted Gina - surely Archie would cheat on her again? Gina believes in Archie though and won't let Luca talk her out of it. Luca confided in Jo that he feels he doesn't really belong. Eileen was bitter about the engagement.
Billy and Marty talked about children while they arranged some office space for Marty. Billy told him he couldn't have kids but the day Della gave birth to Sammy was the most incredible experience. Jo overheard and was annoyed. All this kid talk led to Marty telling Alisha that he and Ruth want to start a family as soon as possible. Alanna told Roisin and Raymond she's moving in with Vader. Raymond laid down the law and she stormed off. Roisin got annoyed with Raymond and when Eileen was stupid enough to interfere, Roisin demanded Raymond sack her. Eileen overheard and plotted with Glenn to buy Cormac's half of The Grill. They'd both benefit and Raymond couldn't get rid of her.
Buoyed by her husband's support, Ruth popped in to to inquire about going back to work, unwittingly contradicting what Marty said earlier. Alisha said she had to concentrate on getting better first and didn't let on that she'd spoken to Marty. Bob prepared for his payment to Lenny. Jimmy suggested he moved back to his mum's (without telling her about his money problems). Bob initially refused but started to think about it. Lenny hung around the garage all day like a bad smell, generally being the Big Man and intimidating Bob. It looks like he's got his eye on taking over the garage as soon as Bob misses a payment. Luckily when Bob was £50 short, Jimmy helped out, warning Lenny off at the same time. However, Lenny was determined to show his authority and told Bob he'd be putting some work his way just like Paddy used to do.
