Cormac and GlennHazel and VaderCormac and Ajay

Although Zoe was ignoring him, Mac was acting like nothing had happened, and was making breakfast and playing happy families with Deek and Nicki. Later, Nicki asked why Zoe was being so mean to Mac, saying she couldn't believe that Zoe could do that to Mac. Before Zoe could ask "do what?" and be told about her supposed affairs, Mac stepped in and told Nicki to leave her sister alone. He decided that as a treat, Nicki could stay off school and they'd go into town to buy a present to cheer Zoe up. Zak came back to Shieldinch after Arun told him about Ajay's threats to Alisha. He went to see Alisha and told him he was sorry, and that he'd come to sort his brother out. However, in the Grill, Cormac found a dead pigeon in one of the soup pots. Someone's clearly seen the godfather a few too many times.

Mac invited Deek out for lunch with him and Nicki. Deek asked Zoe why she wasn't coming, telling her that if she was unhappy she should leave Mac. She said she would, but she couldn't leave Nicki. She confessed that she was sure that Mac liked Nicki "in the way he used to like me". She said that Mac must also have done the same to Alice. Deek didn't believe her, but later, after saw Mac and Nicki in the Grill together, he told Zoe there had been something not right about the way Mac was acting. Zoe went to see Alice and told her that she thought Nicki was in danger. Alice was drunk, and told Zoe she didn't care. Zak told Ajay to leave, but Ajay insisted he needed to teach Alisha a lesson. Cormac told Alisha he was in love with her. Vader asked Hazel if they might still be friends. She told him there was no chance.

Deek saw Alice returning home, drunk. He tried to talk to her about Nicki, but she was angry, and said she had her own problems with the court case, and knew he couldn't give a monkeys about that. She told him she wasn't surprised he got on with Mac: they were both spineless, devious cowards. Deek told Zoe that Alice was no good to them, but didn't realise that when she'd sobered up, Alice'd gone to Hunter who'd given her the name of someone who might be able to help. Zoe was in despair, thinking she'd never get away from Mac. He told her she was ungrateful, but in time, she'd appreciate him. In the Grill Cormac was cleaning his chef's knives when he heard a noise. Before he could act, Ajay had knocked him out, and gone for a knife. Zak stopped his brother from stabbing Cormac, but things didn't look good when Alisha arrived and found Cormac lying unconscious, blood pouring from his head… .
