Gina asked Ruth is she was OK, and Ruth reassured her mum that she was better than fine. Ruth said her husband's name was Marty, and he was English although she'd met him in Rome. Luca asked what he did, and Ruth said everyone would find out soon enough. Alanna agreed to re-sit her exams but said she wanted to take on a part time job. Ray nearly hit the roof when he found out what it was; Alanna wants to be a model. Roisin didn't seem bothered by the idea, but later, Ray cornered Alanna and told her modelling was a sleazy business and he wasn't going to let her do it. Jo took the day off work to be with Ruth. Luca found Alice. She'd been to buy booze and said she couldn't face going to work because Jo hated her. Eileen tried to ask Ruth how she was doing, but Ruth ignored her. Roisin tried to persuade Ray that if she went along with Alanna, modelling would be fine. Eileen came in and couldn't resist giving her opinion. Roisin was not happy when he found out that Ray had been discussing their business with his ex, and stormed out. Glenn asked Lola to join him for a meal, but at the last minute said he had to work, so she was left sitting on her own while he worked in the kitchen.

Jo found Billy and Della's wedding brochure and tried the date of the wedding on the safe. It worked, and inside, she found money and information on a villa in Spain. Billy returned home and Joanne confronted him with her evidence, asking him how many more lies he had told. After some persuasion from Glenn, Cormac went round to see Alisha and made up with her. Meanwhile, Glenn was having a romantic moment of his own: he got down on one knee in the Grill and proposed to Lola in front of everyone. Ray and Eileen shared a bottle of wine as he moaned about his marriage problems. Eileen said that Ray was the only friend she had left, because she'd driven everyone else away.
