ArunAlice and ShirleyJo

Arun told Alisha that Zak had been crying and she angrily told him it had been his fault. He had engineered the whole thing. Zak called round to see Alisha and said that people were laughing at him, saying that Alisha was stringing him along. He pushed Alisha to set a date, but she said there wasn't going to be a wedding. Billy told Jo that his win at the casino was bigger than he'd admitted, and he'd given the money to Della to look after. Jo asked why he didn't trust her. He retorted that she was the one that had secretly gone through his papers. She asked him exactly how much he'd won, but he wouldn't tell her. Zak told Alisha that romance was for teenagers. They'd had that and now it was time to settle down. However, she told him she'd never had that with him, and she thought of him as a brother.

Billy brought Jo presents to apologise for not telling her about the money, but she told him he couldn't buy trust in a shop. Alisha begged Cormac to let her explain about Zak but he said he didn't care. He didn't need the grief. Shirley found an empty bottle of vodka in the bin and confronted Alice. Luca tried to take the blame for Alice but Shirley saw through him. Alice confessed she just couldn't stand Jo being so horrible to her. Shirley said she completely understood that Jo was making Alice miserable, but she couldn't understand why Alice would drink. She told Alice if she wanted to keep her job, she would have to come and stay with her and George till she got better. Bob talked to Jimmy's friend Lenny, the money lender and explained that he had some financial problems. Lenny told Bob to give him a call.

Gina teased Scott about Hunter, and he told her to keep quiet. The guys at the police station didn't realise that Eddie was gay and he didn't want anyone to find out. He might have some trouble keeping it a secret, though, because later Hazel caught Scott looking at Eddie and told him that in some countries, if you looked at anyone like that, you had to marry them. Archie, Gina, Gerry and Heather set off for the Bar Association Ball. Archie had bought Gina a beautiful new necklace for the occasion. Jo's obsession with Billy's secret continued, and she tried unsuccessfully to break into his safe. In the Ship, Zak told Arun that Alisha had called the wedding off. Arun encouraged Zak to keep trying and said that Alisha needed to be persuaded that she really did want to marry Zak. Arun then drunkenly had a go at Cormac and got himself thrown out of the pub for his trouble.
