Far from being sympathetic, Alisha told Alice that when she returned to work, she'd be on a formal warning. Eileen decided to give Roisin some 'helpful advice' about Alanna, which resulted in a row. Ruth decided to try and get on with Luca, and offered to take him out for lunch, only to find he'd already made plans with Jo. Later in the Ship, Ruth fumed silently when Luca proposed a toast to his new family, especially praising his baby sister, Jo.

Shirley told Deek he should make up with Alice, because she was the only mother he had. Roisin told Ray that Eileen was stirring and deliberately causing trouble. Ray seemed pleased with himself, thinking that the two women could be fighting over him, but Roisin told him to get over himself. Ruth moaned to Harry about Luca, but Harry told her to listen to herself: she was sounding paranoid and ridiculous. In the Ship, Archie tried to apologise to Gina, but she refused to let him speak, telling him she wanted to move on. Hazel told Bob that Vader's affair had made them stronger as a couple.
