Mac complained to Deek that people were ready to believe the worst of him. However, Deek told his dad that after the way Mac had behaved, perhaps people were justified. George was angry with Shirley for landing Alice in it with Archie, but Shirley said that she hadn't caused the situation, and was just trying to protect Nikki. Later, Alice called round and said she was going to the police to confess. She told Nikki not to worry, everything would be fine. Roisin confronted Vader about his affair with Alanna, and told him if he didn't tell Hazel, she would.

Ruth phoned Harry and said she'd been receiving threatening calls. He rushed round to play the hero, and while he was there, Ruth received another call. Harry offered to stay until Gerry and Scott came home, not realising it was Leanne who'd made the call at Ruth's request. Kelly went into work at Versus and found a present- a beautiful dress. Andrew asked her if she'd like to come with him to an awards do, and took her shopping in town. An excited Scarlett phoned the paper, telling them where Kelly and Andrew would be later in the evening.

At the police station, Alice was having a tough time. She was allowed to leave, but only after DC Hunter told her he'd see her rot for what she'd done. Acting on Scarlett's tip-off , a photographer found Andrew and Kelly in the Ship, and managed to get a photo of Kelly falling off a bar stool. Alice went round to George's flat to pick up Nikki, not realising that Zoe was coming to collect her sister. When Zoe told Alice she wouldn't be allowed near Nikki, and Nikki said she wanted to be with her sister, Alice was devastated, realising that she'd lost everything.
