Shirley told Nikki she wasn't going to school; they were both going to see Archie to tell him about the computer. Alanna said to Roisin she couldn't bring herself to finish with her married boyfriend. The pair ended up arguing and Roisin was hurt when Alanna accused her mum of knowing nothing about her. Later, seeing that Roisin was upset, Hazel suggested retail therapy and the pair headed off into town. Bob was stressing about Kelly's date with Andrew, and tried to teach her about football so that she could impress him.

Nikki told Archie that the laptop had never left Alice's flat. Ruth came up with a plan. She phoned the police to report an (imaginary) prowler. When Ruth said she knew PC Harry Black, he was sent round to investigate. Ruth was pleased when he showed concern and delighted when he offered to walk her home. In Versus, the girl gang gave Kelly a load of abuse because she was out with Andrew. Heather threw them out, but the damage had been done. Kelly ran away, in tears, hiding from Andrew when he came after her.

Alice received a visit from Archie. He told her he knew what she'd done, and her best hope was to go to the police and confess. If Alice didn't she could lose Nikki. Vader tried to tell Hazel about his feelings for Alanna but he bottled it. Later, he told Alanna he couldn't go through with it. She questioned his feelings for her, remembering Roisin's advice that married men never leave their wives. However, Vader said he loved Alanna, and they kissed, not realising that Roisin was watching them through the door…
