The sad news about Vinnie's death spread through Shieldinch. Alice was feeling terribly guilty about Vinnie's suicide. Mac tried to convince Alice that she did the right thing in reporting Vinnie, but it didn't make her feel any better. Eileen sang Archies's praises as a boss, and Gina was wondering whether she herself should ask Archie out. Shazia bent Alice's guilty ear for not telling her about Vinnie's addiction. When Eileen learnt of Vinnie's death at work she had a wobbly about having hurt him in the past. Archie was understanding itself about her feelings, much to McGrade's annoyance.
Ruth wasn't slow to point the finger of blame at Alice for the Vinnie situation either. She didn't hold back when pointing out to Alice that Vinnie could have killed a patient. Billy's attempts to charm Jo led to her getting a free cut and blow dry. Della was feeling very positive about her relationship with Cormac. Following Kelly Marie's probing, Stevie insisted that he'd finished with McCabe. Heather hinted to Kelly Marie that McCabe's interest might in her brother might be more than professional. Kelly was determined to protect her brother even if he is McCabe's squeeze. Vinnie's family arrived in Shieldinch, looking for answers.
Vader told Alana he didn't think the two of them should be planning a party for Hazel together, it would only lead to hassles. Vinnie's family turned up and Alice was questioned by the police. Upset at how everyone was blaming her for Vinnie's death, an upset Alice pointed out to Zoe that it was likely her blackmail of Vinnie was a major factor in his suicide. A furious row broke out between the two. When Zoe mentioned the fact that Deek had left, as a result of Alice's behaviour, she got a slap across the face for her troubles, which was witnessed by a shocked Mac.
