Stevie was in agony after a thorough kicking from McCabe's gang. Kelly Marie warned him to stay away, but Stevie broke down in tears and said he was in over his head. Michelle was trying to get a house for her and Rochelle. Bob overheard the call and confessed to Kelly Marie later that he loved Michelle and didn't want her to leave. Della appeared to be in good spirits after her time away with Cormac, until she spotted baby Rochelle, then she broke down. Alice walked in on Vinnie about to inject himself and said she was going to report him to the GMC, because he'd lied to her about seeking help. Later, Cormac discovered Della as she was about to take an overdose of pills. Vinnie prescribed some anti-depressants to Della and offered her advice about getting her life back together.

Cormac told Della she'd made him happy and that he didn't want to lose her. Michelle confessed to Kelly Marie that she loved Bob, but thought he wasn't interested in her. Kelly Marie had a look in her eye that suggested she had a plan to get them together. Vader was still not speaking to Hazel after her drunken outburst. Alanna realised something was wrong and thought Hazel should know the truth: that she was helping Vader to plan a secret party for Hazel and that's why she was spending so much time with him. Hazel felt dreadful for her behaviour. She broke down and begged Vader to forgive her and revealed how afraid she is of being left alone. Vader reassured her that he would never leave her and suggested that they went ahead with the 'surprise' party.

Eileen suggested to Archie that they cool things as Callum was starting to get suspicious, but they just ended up kissing again. McCabe paid Stevie a visit to check out his injuries. He made it clear to Stevie that there was more punishment to come if he didn't do what was asked of him and he wouldn't be the only one - Kelly Marie and Scarlett were at risk too. Rosin, Ruth and Zoe were all left puzzled by conversations they'd had with Vinnie during the day. However, later on Vinnie returned to the surgery and telephoned his parents. He left a message on their answerphone apologising for being a failure as a doctor. He broke down in tears as he declared his love for them before hanging up, before injecting himself with a fatal dose of drugs…
