It was Ruth's birthday, so Jo and Scott decided to give her a celebration to remember. Gina volunteered to babysit, just before Archie asked her out to dinner for that evening, so she had to turn him down - again. Ray had a surprise for Deek when he handed over the deeds to Lazy Rays. Scott and Jo spent the day treating Ruth to a spot of pampering, and they promised to find her a date for her birthday party. Alanna and Vader were plotting a surprise for Hazel, but she happened to spot them giggling together and it set some paranoid thoughts in motion for her. Kelly Marie turned up with a 'date' for Ruth, but it turned out to be Harry, the policeman who'd arrested Jo and Ruth. However, as the evening progressed, Ruth appeared to warm to the idea of getting to know Harry better. Callum drunkenly accused Eileen of being too close to her boss, Archie. Later, once the drink had flowed for a few hours, the party moved on to a club. Eileen opted out of a boogie on the dancefloor, to have a duvet dance instead, with Archie in the bedroom. Later, Ruth and Harry returned to the flat, accompanied by a steamin' Callum, who fortunately for Eileen, was too drunk to notice Archie sneaking out of the bedroom.
