Buchanan warned Gerry off McCabe, telling Gerry not to cross the line with his clients like McKenna had. Zoe tried to interest Stevie in the drugs she was selling, but he told her he couldn't sell them. McCabe came over and told Zoe to beat it. Later, McCabe asked Stevie if he could trust him. Eileen went for her interview at Buchanan Associates, and discovered that Buchanan was at school with Gina. He told Eileen she could start right away, but seemed very interested in Gina. Alice took Deek's stuff to Scarlett's. Scarlett tried to talk to her but Alice said she was finished with Deek.

Eileen told Gina about the job and said that Archie Buchanan had remembered her. Eileen was fishing for details, but Gina kept quiet. Eileen asked Callum for a drink to celebrate her new job. Alanna bumped into Zoe in the street, and Zoe had a go at her, telling her she was a snobby wee madam and could stay off her patch. Shazia received flowers from Vinnie, and marched round to the surgery, telling him in no uncertain terms that she wasn't interested. McCabe met Gerry McGrade and gave him money, which was gratefully accepted. McCabe told Gerry one of his wee jobs would be to keep an eye on Billy Davies. Gerry said that was no problem. Alanna told Scott that nobody liked her in Shieldinch. He told her it would take time, but she would fit in.

Gerry stopped by for a visit to the portable building, and flirted with Scarlett whilst putting Billy down. Billy was clearly annoyed by the attention Gerry paid to Scarlett, and offered to take her for a drink in Versus. In the Ship, Callum told Eileen she was a tease, and couldn't just pick him up whenever she felt like it. Cormac saw Billy and Scarlett kissing. Alice told Mac that she wanted them to go on holiday together. He said he was delighted to be back with Alice, but had hoped he would be able to have a relationship with his son. Alice told him that Derek had made his choice and wanted nothing to do with either of his parents. She told Mac that if he wanted to be with her, he could not had to put his relationship with Derek behind him.
