Ruth, Jo and HunterStevieBob

At the hospital, the girls were overcome with relief when they were told that Gina had woken up. However, she was slipping in and out of consciousness, and the girls were told to let her rest. Ruth was terrified that the police would speak to her before she did, and that Gina would tell them that Ruth had pushed her down the stairs. Alanna was getting ready for her first day at school, and told Roisin, Ray, Hazel and Vader that she was nervous about going. She was afraid she wouldn't make friends. Bob overheard the girl gang and realised that Stevie had been selling drugs. He told Kelly, who warned him to be careful. Hunter arrived at the hospital, and went in to see Gina. When the girls tried to stop him, he said he'd have them arrested.

Della suggested that Michelle might not hang round so much if she had her own place, and suggested that Billy and Della buy her a wee flat. Billy told Della she was mad, and that even if they could afford it, Michelle wasn't going to be bought off. McCabe 'had a word' with Stevie. After pretending at first he wasn't selling drugs at all, Stevie told him he was strictly small time, and didn't want to get into anything heavy. McCabe said it was a bit late for that. Malcolm forgave Ruth after Eileen told him Ruth needed him. Cormac saw Della with Olivia, and asked her for a drink. He was missing Franco and Jo, and ended up breaking down in front of Della. DCI Hunter left the hospital, telling his partner he would get the Rossis somehow.

Gina said she couldn't remember what had happened, and had told the police nothing. Ruth confessed that she had lost her temper and pushed Gina. Gina told her she deserved to be punished for what she'd done: for hurting her sister and for attacking Gina, but that Gina couldn't do it, because she loved Ruth. A relieved and tearful Ruth said she'd changed, but Gina told her words were all very well; until she proved she was different, she wasn't part of the family. At the Adams's, Bob went for Stevie and told him he knew he was selling drugs. Stevie grabbed Bob by the throat and told him if Bob attacked him again, he'd kill him and what he did was his business. Far from being intimidated, Bob smacked Stevie in the face, knocking him down and telling him to stay away from drugs.
