Zoe offered her daily reminder to Vinnie about the drugs request. Cormac was perplexed by Scott's friendship with Ruth, despite everything she'd done. Scott's defence was that he regards Ruth, Gina and Jo as his only 'family' as such. George had a go at Shirley for keeping the truth about Alice and Mac's relationship from him. Roisin decided that Ruth had supped her last glass of wine in the Tall Ship and barred her for good. Derek was raging at Mac and Alice and he wanted nothing more to do with them. Mac tried to talk to him, but Derek threw in the idea that his life would only be ok - including his plans for uni- if Mac left Shieldinch. George's face nearly split with smiling.

Despite Alanna fluttering her eyelashes ten to the dozen, Ray was still adamant that she should be heading back to Aberdeen asap. Just as Alanna reached breaking point, Ray decided to sit down and talk properly to her. They discovered the root of their problem was jealousy over their own personal relationship with Roisin. They agreed that they had to 'share' Roisin, so Ray was happy to let Alanna stay. Scott showed Callum around the flat. It wasn't the size of the room that put Callum off, but more a very steamin' Ruth hanging around with a sour look on her face. It took a salesman-like-patter from Scott to convince Callum that it really was a great place to live.

Callum decided to take the room at the flat. Heather offered Jo a job. Stevie agreed to Zoe's offer of peddling drugs via the ice cream van. Bob was concerned about Michelle, who was becoming increasingly distraught about abandoning her baby. Alice sacrificed her relationship with Mac for the sake of Derek's future. She told Mac he had to leave Shieldinch to enable Derek to have a normal life. Just as Mac was leaving, Derek made a dash to speak to him and it seemed like he was about to forgive his dad. But, no, Derek wanted to push the knife in one more time by saying "you're not my dad". Alice broke down in tears, as an equally upset Mac drove out of Shieldinch.
