George is worriedBilly is steamin'Ray on the phone

It was love triangles galore tonight. Malcolm finally found out about Shirley's feelings for George. She was about to tell him, but Eileen got there first as she'd seen George and Shirley smooching in the street - how discreet! Then of course Lewis slimed his way up to Della's to close the sperm-donor deal over dinner. She was a bit unsure but decided to lie back and think of Scotland, and didn't look all that bothered in the end.

While Lewis was fertilising Billy's wife, Billy himself was drowning his sorrows in The Ship. The girls were all dolled up having a night out on the lash. Scarlett was looking hot after a makeover, caught Billy's eye and he charmed her with his slightly slurred patter. He suggested they go for a quick Ruby Murray. They snogged up a close (oh, the romance), but a furious Stevie spotted them.

Jo got threatened by a guy on a motorbike, strong-arm tactics from Heather's dodgy dealings, no doubt. She's determined to testify anyway, but Ruth was worried that this put Franco in danger and took him to stay with her. Scott worried about the wean's fever but it turned out to be just a reaction to a jag. Ruth seemed to be getting weird happy family ideas. Lastly, Ray was organising a surprise visit from Roisin's daughter.
