Ray apologised to Roisin about his reaction to her news. George received a birthday card but didn't want anyone to know it was his birthday. Stevie went home to visit his mum. Paddy arrived, and despite Stevie's attempts to wind him up, Paddy did not lose his temper. Kelly Marie persuaded Malcolm to come to the salon and get his hair done.

In the salon, Malcolm charmed Shirley and asked her for lunch at the Grill. George asked Vader to help him clear Moira's stuff out. George told Vader that Moira always bought his birthday present in the sales, and hid it in the wardrobe. Vader told George to check the wardrobe, and they found George's present, bought just before Moira died.

George and Vader went through a box of memories that Moira had kept. Vader worried that Ray and Alice should be helping but George said that it would upset them too much. Vader found some of Moira's love letters and teased George about them. The only problem was, George hadn't written the letters…
