Billy was sleeping on Alice's sofa until he sorted things out with Della. Brian brought Hazel a necklace with a swan on it, explaining that swans mated for life, and saying "they reminded me of us". Hazel was starving, and played along with Brian, pretending to be pleased by the gift in the hope that he'd bring her food. Della went to see Paddy and Scarlett and told them about Kelly's baby. Paddy told Scarlett she was an embarrassment and hadn't brought their children up properly. She begged him to talk to Kelly calmly, saying he was the only dad she had.

Della found Billy at the salon. Billy tried to say that he worked there but she asserted that she'd paid for the salon and so it was hers. Della threw him out. Kelly Marie came home and Paddy asked her about the baby. He quickly flew into a temper and Scarlett screamed at Kelly to leave, saving Kelly from Paddy but getting punched herself. Brian went to get Hazel some food. When he came back, she hid and then hit him with a plank. The door was locked, however, and he came to and overpowered her. She told Brian she hated him.

Gina was feeling sorry for Heather, despite Cormac saying she shouldn't feel any sympathy for her. Gina said that it could have been her in prison if she'd fought Marcus, and they should help Heather if they could. Cormac said he was uncomfortable when he visited Jo and suggested that they move in together. Bob and Kelly went back to the flat and found Scarlett with her face badly bruised. When Paddy returned he tearfully apologised to Scarlett as she pretended to be asleep.
