The Rossis looked forward to a big Christmas dinner in The Ship to welcome Jo back. Meanwhile, Heather was in prison. Billy and Della's plans to go to a swish hotel for Christmas dinner didn't work out, but he did the salon up like a romantic restaurant and Della was delighted. At the Adams's, Paddy wasted no time in getting stuck into the whisky. During a tense Christmas lunch, things finally kicked off at the Adams house. Stevie got sick of Paddy's comments, so Stevie stood up to him and admitted that he was gay.

Kelly phoned Billy and said she needed to speak to him, arranging to meet him outside the Ship. Vinnie's plans for a Christmas lunch at the drop in centre threatened to go pear-shaped when his food suppliers let him down. Luckily for him, Ray had managed to unplug the freezers at the shop and instead of throwing all the defrosted food away, Roisin and Shazia let Vinnie have it. Alice and Moira pitched in, and even George turned up, to make the Christmas meal a success.

Kelly Marie was late to meet Billy, but spotted him going into the salon. Not realising Della was there, Kelly started to say how much she had missed Billy. Della overheard and, realising that Billy was the father of Kelly's baby, went mental. In a rage, Della threw both of them out. Scott suggested to Stevie that he should stay at the flat for a few days until things cooled down, and he agreed. Brian left Hazel on her own in the cellar after she tried to escape. She shouted for help, but there was nobody around to hear…
