Stevie was back home but Scarlett was avoiding him. She thought he was just going through 'a phase'. Gina had heard nothing from the private detective. Marcus was pressuring Heather into a quick wedding. Scott made up with Ruth and told her he was going to go and see the doctor. He tried to tell Stevie about his health worries, but Stevie was uncomfortable being seen with Scott and made his excuses and left.

Gina received a call from Australia. It was Marcus's ex-wife. Marcus also received a call from a friend in Australia and found out that Gina had hired a detective. He went after Gina and attacked her, but she was defiant, and told him he had spoken to his ex. Meanwhile, Jo finally convinced Heather to ask Marcus what went on with Gina. Heather decided to confront Marcus at the hospital.

Heather told Marcus she'd stand by him whatever happened. He said that an innocent man might not like the fact that she was prepared to stand by a rapist. Heather was relieved, since she thought this meant he was saying he was innocent. She soon realised this wasn't the case, and refused to marry him, horrified at what he'd done to Gina. Marcus wasn't prepared to let Heather go, however, and attacked her. Unfortunately for him, she fought back…
