HazelAliceBrian and Ray

Hazel remembered her dad on his birthday, but reacted angrily when Eileen phoned to talk to her about Tommy. Brian told Ewan that he was in love with Hazel and that she felt the same. Ewan suggested that Brian moved out, so Brian went to the caravan. Deke took Hazel to the fair along with Bob and Zara. Ruth was unhappy that Rory was back in Sheildinch. Cormac was adamant that his brother should stay, so he told Ruth that Rory was HIV positive.

Ruth was raging when she realised that Lewis might also be infected. She tried to talk to Lewis about taking the test , but he was stubborn and refused. Lewis later relented when he realised that Alice could be at risk too. Moira was drunk in the bar and decided to tell George a few home truths about the state of their marriage. Later, Cormac was riled by Alice, so he told her that it was Lewis, not him, who was responsible for the stabbing. Alice was devastated and dumped Lewis.

Rory could see his presence was causing tension between Ruth and Cormac, so he decided to leave Shieldinch. Cormac told Ruth that her attitude towards his brother had put their future as a couple in jeopardy. Brian showed Hazel a drawing he'd done of her and declared his love, but she was freaked out. Deke reacted angrily to Brian upsetting Hazel. A confrontation followed, and Brian told everyone that he'd slept with Hazel.
