Tommy had serious head injuries following the attack by Liam Cave. Ray and Roisin were suspicious as to why Heather was back in Montego Street. Lewis told Alice that he was only staying in Shieldinch to be with her. Heather had a few choice words for Lewis, then made Scott a business offer he couldn't refuse. Gina and Eileen returned from the hospital with bad news; Tommy had died.
Everyone was upset about Tommy, except Hazel, who refused to believe Eileen and continued to pack a bag for her dad. Lewis turned up to comfort Eileen when he heard the news. Eileen was too distraught to cope, Gina screamed at him to leave the family alone. Kirsty was wracked with guilt and believed everyone will blame her for Tommy's death. The police questioned Kirsty about meeting Liam Cave in the boatyard.
Roisin warned Ray not to mess with JP as he can get murderous if someone crosses him. A team of news reporters gathered in Shieldinch to get more on the Donachie story. Ruth told Hazel and Brian to hide at her flat. Hazel finally broke down in tears when she realised that not only has her dad gone, but she's now an orphan. She begged Brian to look after her, and suddenly their gentle embrace turned into a passionate kiss
