Ruth spotted an 'I Saw You' message, seemingly directed at Gina. She played it cool to the girls, but later talked it over with Scott, who revealed that he was a virgin. Ruth was a little hurt that he hadn't confided in her, but resolved to help him lose his virginity by the end of summer. Later, the Rossi girls spotted Gina posting a letter.

It was Bob's 16th birthday and he was feeling flash in his new tracksuit. Deke had bought tickets to see The Daze as a present, and Bob was elated. Later, an exam-stressed Hazel thought Deke had bought them to cheer her up, and Deke didn't correct her - they went to the gig without telling Bob, who ended up drinking with Vader.

Deke was disappointed when he saw there was no TV in Alice's flat. George was insulted when Gina offered Alice a free takeaway as a flatwarming present. Moira decided to buy them a TV without consulting George, but when he found out, he blew his top. It was the final straw - Moira packed a case, but in the end just moved into the spare room.
