Jo turned down the flat, so Alice could take it instead. She and Moira were ecstatic. Deke was troubled, unsure whether to move in, thinking Alice and Mark might get back together if he didn't. Moira was threatening to move out too, so George tried some underhand emotional manipulation on Deke and Moira, with some assistance from Ray.

Eileen was still nervous about whether Tommy would learn of her fling with Lewis - Cormac and Brian seemed to be getting close. She asked Tommy to sack Cormac for lying about Lewis, but when Cormac revealed the truth about Lewis, Tommy decided to give Cormac a partnership in The Grill. Eileen was forced to put a brave face on it and agree.

Meanwhile, shell-suit Bob had to face the menace of Vader and his henchmen. They sent him to rob some drink, but Alice slipped him a bottle of alcohol-free lager. He had to run for his skin when Vader found out, much to Alice and Moira's delight. Later, after a tea-time gathering of the Henderson clan, Deke finally decided to move in with Alice.
