Even though she was back with Cormac, Ruth was not so forgiving with her sister. A distressed Jo was missing Ruth, and confided in Gina. George was fuming with Ray for giving his taxi to a criminal. Ray offered to lend George some cash to dig them out of debt, but was shocked when his dad told him that their debts totalled £3,000. Malcolm's confusion was causing concern.
It's exam time, and Eileen's relations with Brian are at breaking point. Eileen was suspicious of the source of Cormac's money that he wants to invest in The Tall Ship, so she alerted Tommy that the money might come from Lewis. Gina asked Jo if she was only putting a brave face by moving into the flat alone. Ruth gave Jo a second chance, and asked her to move back in with her.
Eileen challenged Cormac about his offer of investment, but he affirmed that he knew the real reason for her paranoia. Ruth thought that Eileen had accepted Cormac's offer and thanked her. Ray tried to get Brian to open up, but he was given the cold shoulder. Deke was more into Hazel than kicking about with Bob, who felt left out. He befriended Vader and his gang.
