George was rushed to hospital following his collapse. Deke blamed himself, and refused to visit his granda. He called Alice to tell her what had happened. Ruth sensed the tension between Scott and Cormac. She demanded to know what was going on.

Scott was forced to tell Ruth that Jo had slept with Cormac. Ruth was devastated. She screamed at Cormac to leave the flat and snapped the bracelet that he'd given to her. Meanwhile, Russ made a swift exit when a chat with Kirsty nearly evolved into a kiss.

Alice returned to Shieldinch and Deke agreed to go to the hospital with her. All the family were relieved to hear that George's condition was stable and he had only suffered a mild heart attack. George told Alice to return to London and leave the family alone.
