I had the great pleasure of seeing my hero Bob Mac at the 1961 TT. What a rider, what a man. Now all these years later I still remember him with great affection, even though I never met him. Perhaps this is how a great man is measured, like the ripples on a lake spreading out when a pebble is dropped in it. When I ride my Bonneville part of me still believes he is on the pillion!! Thanks "Mac" for all the happy memories.

Having loved motorbikes in my young days I had known of Bob Mac in MCN and I'm sure he would have been a great person to know and a great father. Can someone tell me where I can get the book by Mr Allen about Bob Mac? Tell me not how a man died rather tell me how he lived!

I am glad to see that finally Bob McIntyre is getting recognition from the Scottish people.
I have been brought up on tales of this amazing man, as my mother worked besides Bob at Joe Potts of Bellshill.
I would also like to see a monument placed in Bellshill near to the site of Joe Potts in memory of this great Scotsman.
