Greenock and District Sea Cadet Corps uses funds donated to BBC Children in Need to help engage children from the Inverclyde area in watersports activities.
Activities include dinghy sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and powerboat handling. The children can also attend more intensive weekend training camps, and volunteer instructors hold workshops on safety, teamwork, first aid and boat maintenance.
Commanding Officer Jim Hearl and some of the cadets demonstrate how taking part in watersports can benefit young people.
