A fleet of ten matching 68-foot racing yachts, crewed by nearly 400 amateur sailors from 27 countries set off from the Humber on 13 September in the race to circumnavigate the world.
Scotland's entry in the 2009-2010 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race was earlier named Edinburgh Inspiring Capital in a ceremony at Leith Docks.

The inspiration
Sir Robin Knox Johnston became the first man to sail solo and non-stop around the world in 1969 in the 32 foot yacht Suhaili. He founded the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race in 1996.
