Gdansk

Gdansk write and perform melodic, post-punk explorations of literary pop with no pop influences. Over the last two years Gdansk have earned their reputation as the intellectual's guitar band of choice through relentless live performances around Glasgow. The youthful four-piece perform regularly around the city to an increasing cult following of discerning thinkers, lovers and movers.

Andrew Campbell, Joe Campbell, Max Slaven and David Ward, contributing as individuals under a collective title, combine reverberant guitars and punk-informed rhythms with considered lyrical content and emphatic delivery to arrive at a concise and arresting exposition of contemporary guitar music which finds emotional and intellectual clarity within art-rock experimentation.
