  • In 2002 there were around 2000 'bloggers' in China. By the beginning of 2008 this had risen to over 20 million, almost a 10th of all people using the internet in China today.
  • In 2005 the Chinese government brought in a law requiring everyone who wrote a blog to register it officially.
