Either - I am not a fussy eater!
Web assistant
Where do I start? I work across the whole of the Learning department helping out whoever needs me. On this project I am helping to resize all the fantastic images the team have been taking and sending back from China. I also help sort the text, edit the video, find any additional images and sort any copyright issues. I have also produced 3 of the radio programmes, that accompany this website, which will be broadcast in October. Keep an ear open for some lovely audio clips, from the radio programmes, which we will be adding to this site in the future.
For web - Photoshop for resizing all the images you see on the site, Notepad for sorting the text, WS_FTP pro for adding to the website and Avid Newscutter for editing the video.
For Radio - Nagra Ares M for recording the sfx (sound effects) and interviews, VCS dira for editing audio and Sadie for mixing the final programmes.
I have been working in the Learning department for 5 years. Before that I worked in radio, my favourite stint being on Radio OB's where I drove the Radio Scotland campervan round the country broadcasting from all over Scotland and travelling as far as Belfast, Dublin and Copenhagen! No mean feat for someone with no sense of direction! Before that I worked up in Inverness where part of my job was to operate the sound desk on live programmes both in English and in Gaelic.
For the website Flora, Rhiannon and Laura. For the radio programmes Johanna, Cathie, Irene and our Studio Manager Malcom Torrie.

Any broadcasts, for radio or television, which are recorded away from the normal BBC recording studios. The BBC has special travelling OB units - for big sporting events, concerts, etc, which are like a recording studio on wheels.
