20th April

Jo : Directs the second group of kids, who are doing the 'Sport' programmes, through rehearsals at PQ.

25th April

Esme : Has rehearsals with all the cast for the 'Getting To Know You' programmes. This goes extremely well.

21st and 22nd April

A bowl of bananas.

Jo, Irene, Malcolm and Tanya : Record the third group of actors doing the 'Ghost' and 'Ghost 2' programmes. Again, because of the guidelines, the child actors only record in the mornings.

In the afternoon on the 22nd, Jacqui Sinclair comes into the studio to record some of her presenter links.

While Flora is in filming a clip for the website, her stomach rumbles and everyone in the recording studio can hear it! Tanya passes on a useful tip for her - always have a bowl of bananas available when recording for radio - they're great for calming down rumbling tummies!

25th April

Esme : Records the first 'Getting To Know You' programme (pre-edit) in BBC Scotland's Edinburgh studios, with all the child actors and Anne Lannan as Mrs Grant, the teacher in the story.

Martin : Manages the studio recording whilst Esme directs. Martin sets up all the microphones and soundboards to get best acoustics.

Irene : Sits in on the recording to note the best takes and be an extra pair of ears to listen out for any mistakes. These notes will be used when the recording is being edited into the final piece for the radio programme.
