18th March

Jo : Looks at submitted scripts. She then rewrites scripts if they are too long or, in one case, because the script had changed to a storyline which didn't suit the theme of the programmes.

Over the rest of the week

Jo : Writes the scripts for the programme inserts. The plays, inserts and packages are timed to fit into programme of exactly 19.30 mins. Jo also spends time looking for some Chinese music which might fit in to the programmes. These will have to be okayed for copyright.

Radio Scripts.
Radio Programme schedule roughs.

Irene : Types up the scripts for rehearsals and recording.

Jo : Writes the presenter scripts 1 - 4. These will be sent to Jackie Sinclair, who will be presenting the programmes, which will give her plenty of time to read them before recording in a couple of weeks time.

Jargon

Inserts : A recording made at a different location which is inserted into the edited programme.
