Vox-pop-tastic!

This morning I'm trying to sort through all of the emails and photos I've got back from possible vox-poppers.

I sent out lots and lots of emails asking for vox-pop volunteers – mainly to contacts I made through work and friends.

Some people just didn't reply. Fair enough. Some people replied and said they didn't want to answer the questions, or that they didn't know much about the subject. Fair enough again. Quite a lot of people replied and said they would be delighted to help, but then never got back to me…

However – lots of people offered to help and went on to answer the questions. Yeay!

Except… some of them haven't sent a photo, and a few are missing other details, like, um, their names.

Most of the replies are really good and give a fascinating glimpse into Chinese life. Some replies are so good I could use them for quotes on half the topics Changing China is going to examine. But I'm keen to get lots of different faces and opinions onto the site, so I don't want to double up too much...

So, just now I'm making up a list of what topics I need quotes for; what topics I have quotes for with a photo; what topics I have quotes for without a photo; what topics I have nothing for at all; who I need to chase up for photos/details and who I can still contact for more answers.

It's a complicated list.
