See it here first!

15th July 2008, Flora

Del and I met up today to talk about ideas for the rest of the China Stories website. As soon as Gerald, Maria, Alan and Bronek have finished editing the TV programmes we're going to put them up live on this site - even before they're transmitted on TV in the autumn - so see them here first!

Del's going to design a new part of the site to hold the TV content, and some other interesting stuff we'll put up about the TV programme topic.

We've got some ideas that we'd like Del to use as inspiration for the new pages - thinking about the bold, modern look of some big Chinese cities, maybe looking at some of their large scale, digital advertising and the way the cities look when lit up at night. Del's also going to be working alongside Trudy to incorporate some of the TV graphics into the TV pages on the website.

A huge digital advertising screen.
Some neon adverts.
The Hong Kong Food City advert.

The next couple of things on Del's list after the TV section is a section to hold all the amazing images Gerald, Maria and Alasdair brought back with them from China. At that stage the site is going to start getting pretty big, so Del's going to design a 'portal' page for people to use to explore the site when they visit.
