Another day off!

It's getting pretty extravagant now! Three days off in three and a half weeks! Ha ha.
We are here to work but it's important that we get some time off to allow us to rest, catch up with people at home and maybe even get out and about a bit.
Today we had a great day. Got up early to avoid the crazy heat and went shopping in the Yuzhong district with Dave our soundman. He helped me find all the places I wanted to go and translated when necessary. Didn't get too much as I simply don't have much room in my bag. Just one or two wee treats.
Then we met up with Maria and Alasdair for lunch. Dave took us to a place that his friends here recommended. It was really good. Pretty spicy though (see picture for what is pretty much just a bowl of chillies!). People in Chongqing love the spice!!
After a few litres of water to cool down fiery mouths it was off for a wee bit of a wander with Maria. Before we knew it, it was 7pm and the day was pretty much over.
Oh well it was nice while it lasted.
