Mark Stephen visits St Abbs Head
Mark Stephen visits St Abbs Head to find out about wildlife above and below the water. Off the coast is the St Abbs and Eyemouth Voluntary Marine Reserve, which aims to balance the needs of the area's marine life with those of recreation and traditional fishing. Out of Doors presenter Mark Stephen discovers how inspiring Scotland's landscape can be for poets around the country. In this week's Out of Doors, Mark Stephen and Euan McIlwraith are in the Mearns to mark the 75th anniversary of Lewis Grassic Gibbon's death.
The cliffs of St Abbs Head are home to thousands of birds. The waters below contain a wealth of marine life, which makes it a hot spot for diving. In order to protect the sea life, a voluntary marine reserve has been set up by the community.
