fulfillment from the tree we seek..

..fulfillment from the tree we seek
ripe knowledge apple, we, the meek.
Decisions made through freedoms choice
or are we called by the silent voice
and force that grows the humble seed
no random route, this programmed deed
genetic blueprint wont tell why
but guides the way from ground to sky..

Maybe catch a glimpse or see a name..

liniclate drowning in sunset flames
Consuming vision, concealed from sight
In darkness moth drawn to the light
No signpost to the path most bright
Which wisdom way to leave the night
Benbecula cottage
Creeping, seeping, through the veins
Feel stomach churning once again
Knowledge search drives minds insane
Maybe catch a glimpse or see a name
Through next dimension window pane

Purple Heather

O the summer time is comimg
and the trees are sweetly blooming
and wild mountain thyme
grows around the blooming heather
will you go, lassie, go

from the song Wild Mountain Thyme/Will you go Lassie go. I don't know who the originator of the song is, but i've heard at least two versions.

and it stoned me to my soul..

From Van Morrison..
On our way back home, we sang a song
but our throats were getting dry..
then we saw the man, from across the road,
with the sunshine in his eyes.

Well, he lives all alone,
in his own little home,
with a great big gallon jar..
there were bottles too, one for me, and you,
and he said well, there you are.

O......the water,
O......the water,
O......the water,
..get it myself from the mountain stream..

i watched the moonrise..

moonrise at liniclate, benbecula

i watched the moonrise,
late last night..
above the moor,
beyond the croft .

Enchanted by the evening sight,
of moonbeams falling from aloft..
and dripping gently on the loch,
reflections spreading, silver soft.

its whats inside that counts

Children everywhere
howling, running and shouting
at the top of their lungs
Ice as clear as glass
Snow so cold and deep

Stinky Bay Benbecula with Hecla & Bhein Mhor of South Uist behind

Children sharing,
telling secrets
having conversations and some even greedy,
their hands in their pockets
and teeth chattering up and down

stinky bay sunset

Some small, some tall,
Some smelly, some pretty
Some funny and some lazy
But all the same

loch bun abhainn eadarra, harris

Some children hurt,
Some children crying,
Some children happy,
Some children delighted,
But it's what's inside that counts,
And how we are to one another.

the universal, grander scheme

In the Universal, grander scheme
some things are meant to be
the reasons why, although we pry
are not for us to see
like swirling storms that last for days
and show us natures' wrath
why must we suffer and endure
why not a quiet path?
sunrise over benbecula from the west shore road.

those days are not without an end
there's always some respite
-the days of beauty, oh so calm
filled with warmth and light.
We don't know when those days will come
but we know they surely will
and our bodies will recuperate
repair..relax..be still

when one door closes...

Now what about our busy minds..
i hope that we can see,
they're not so different from the storms
..in a strange analogy.
The raging torrent of our thoughts
can knock us off our feet
the rushing rota of our lives
must work..must drive..must eat.

Nunton cemetary in the quietest of sunrises

so look out for those days of peace
amidst the mental riot
allow your mind to be quite still
no thought..just calm..and quiet

golden promise of springs arrival

please don't try to fill the "gap"
with tv, or the web
no mp3... no MTV..
to spin around your head.
Those days are there to heal your mind
...to give your soul a lift
accept them in the grander scheme
enjoy them as a gift.

silence..

After the fury of winter and it's howling wind, the calm weather the past couple of weeks has allowed the silence of the promise of spring to soothe our ears ..

Hang Togethar

I see the signs..
on all the faces..
in my neighbourhood.

I see the wear..
and tear...in places..
that i never should.
