Pakora trauma!
Posted: Thursday, 28 July 2005 |
it's Thursday, its dull, i'm feeling a bit yucky and all I can think about is making pakora for the ceilidh tomorrow night!
So much to do before my next state visit to The Mainland (tomorrow, yippeee!), what is a girl to do?!
Sex and the City type dilemma comin' up!
Is it better to wash and condition my hair before I make the pakora, or wait til after I've made it?
Y'know what folks? I'm pretty darned lucky that's all I've got to worry about!
Life is good, I just need to eat more vegetables, no problems...just need a house!
Looks like they're coming along quite nicely...rumour has it they'll be ready by the end of October...so perhaps I'll have my own place in time for my 34th birthday, ooh my goodness, I'll feel like such a grown-up!

Rhoney's State Visit
Posted: Wednesday, 13 July 2005 |
Greetings Local People!
On a state visit to Mainlandshire at the moment in search of precious things..yes, yes, I know...you've all been frantic with worry and crying into your beers distraught by my absence! It's ok I'm keeping the side up and educating the masses on what it's like to live in the real world...the...LOCAL world, where a sense of community is still prevalent.
In Kilmarnock at the moment...doing...um....STUFF! chilling out, jumping around my mates sitting room to punk music annnnnnnnnnddd ehhhh ooh other things which are classified information, and eating pizza...I'm having a ball!
Fear not, I will be returning to the fold of the community this Saturday (16th July)
all refreshed with tales of what non-local people do.
See y'all in the pub on Saturday night hopefully
lots of love
The Right Dishonourable Rhoney-rho xx

Thought for the day...

Tonight's the night when the Heritage Trust has it's AGM and the election of new members of the board of directors.
This year my name has been put forward and quite frankly I'm cr@pping it!
If I do get voted on then I'm fully prepared to do my best for EVERYONE on the island. I think that the younger voice is neccessary (I've still got a good 45 years left in me!) I care so deeply about Gigha that I want to contribute to it's future.
Please note: that is the future which goes wayyyyyy beyond mine and your lifetime.
I'm not going to turn into some kind of Megalomaniac who sees their appointment to the board as some step up or a means for me to attain my desires...I'm too much of a Socialist to be remotely interested in that kind of rubbish.
Call me an idealist or whatever you want but I want equality and what is best for not only the inhabitants of the island but the actual island itself! It's NOT just a rock in the sea, it is a living, breathing, evolving, emotional collection of all things, it is greater than all of us put together, it will outlast every last one of us.
It is perfection, lets try and keep it that way.

I'll start blogging properly when I'm feeling more alert.
Just wanted to correct a few things...Gigha's population is roughly 130 and growing!
It also a bit smaller than described...a beijou 6 x 2.5 miles...aww.
Lastly, umm....Noah's Raven W.T.F?! never heard that one before!
