He worked in the coal mines in Ohio and later in Iowa. My father worked as a young boy shoveling coal "on the top". He always wanted to visit Scotland but could never afford to make the trip. I would like to make contact with any relative. Both my father and grandfather were named John William Bennett. I attend the local Highland Games whenever I can. Something about Scotland beckons!
