My grandfather Curly Gill was a drummer and vocalist in the Paul Spector Dance Band, which played at the Edinburgh Palais in the 1920's and 30's. Does anyone know if an archive exists anywhere, that may contain a photograph of the band?

Paul Spector was my father and I have a photograph of the band; your grandfather is in the picture. I can send you a copy if you let me have your address.

My grandfather, david greenhill, along with my uncle, matthew lind, had a dance band in the 20s and 30s and played in Edinburgh and round Scotland. I'm trying to find information on the band. I have some pictures, but cannot identify anyone but my grandfather. any information would be greatly appreciated.

I know this isn't what you asked in the Forum (a few years ago now!) but I am trying to get information about the Greenhill family. My dad, David, is out of contact from most of his family and I was wondering if your grandfather or any other family members settled in Scotland that you know of? It would be much appreciated if you could give me this information. Thank you.

Youys sincerely

Jennifer Greenhill
