Air raid 2nd world war There is 1 message in this section. George Paterson from Portland Oregon USA. Posted 15 Feb 2003. Growing up in Uddingston before emigrating to the USA. After an air raid the Germans would send over a reconnaissance plane, and much to the dismay of the air-raid wardens we as kids would run out in the street and look up at the sky and yell our pictures are going back to Germany. TTFN Geordie.
