I've never understood the disparity between "candy" in the 'land of milk & honey' and the fine selection and quality of sweeties in Scotland. Nothing shall ever surpass a Tunnocks tea-cake or any penny carmel found in any Newsagents or ice-cream van in Scotland. Am I the only one that believes a Hershey bar is mince?

I agree, Hersheys is the worst, I still love sweeties and biscuits from home, sausage rolls, square sausage, fish & chips, steak and kidney pie, good bacon not just streaky among many other delights. Although I do make mince and tatties and shepherds pie....

Tony McGrath...what could be better than an ice cream red cola drink in Barrheid's central cafe?

I love Fern Cakes, wee sausage rolls, Branston Pickle, Irn Bru, bridies, potato scones, tablet... I practically fill up my suitcase when I'm home.

What about an ice cream cone with raspberry on from Tommy's ice cream van around the streets of Borrheid? And yes, I do miss square sliced sausage, custard creams and Tunnocks caramel logs!

This sight must be for "Barrheadians"...I am also rembering hot peas and vinegar from Capaldis. As I write this, I am enjoying a Heinz Treacle Sponge Pudding, anyone remember them covered with custard......

I agree with you, Tom... Hershey bars smell of boak, to me!
