
Materials
- Fabric scraps or old book pages
- Leaf template
- Florists wire (this is coated in paper so it sticks better)
- Old buttons
Step one

Using your hand drawn template (don’t worry about it too much, just make it look roughly like the example shown) cut out at least 35 leaf shapes.
Step two
Fold a length of florist wire in half and twist to make a loop for hanging your garland from. Tuck the leaves in (a max of 4 at a time) and twist above them to secure.

Step three

Twist again about 2cm above the leaves.
Step four
Add in a button and twist to close.

Step five
Take the next piece of wire, fold in half and twist all 4 pieces together to make a strong join.

Step six

Repeat step 3 – 7 depending on desired length. You could make short lengths of wire garlands to put in vases, or longer lengths to hang. Have fun!
