Albert Francis's Story

Son of Albert and Annie Pow (nee Oram) of Withy Mills Farm, Paulton, Somerset; husband of Leonora Pow of Bridgewater. He was Manager of the Singer Sewing Machine shop in Barnstaple, Devon, before joining the Somerset Light Infantry as a Private. Was invalided back to the UK from the Battle of the Somme in 1916 and died after several months in hospital. He is now buried with his wife in a military grave in Wembdon Road Cemetery, Bridgwater.
