William Hyland Devlin's Story

William Hyland Devlin Morrison served in the Highland Light Infantry and then the Machine Gun Corps. He is my paternal grandfather and met Mary Ethel Wildman, his wife to be, whilst in hospital after being wounded in the leg.

Unfortunately, I never knew my grandfather as he died the year after I was born. I do know that he was thrilled to have a granddaughter having had no daughters of his own.
