Joseph's Story

Although we never knew him the images we get are of a well liked and respected member of the 19th Canadian Battalion. He lost his life on 27th august 1918 and was killed by machine gun fire while leading a section during an attack on the enemy in the neighbourhood of Vis-eu Artois. The casualty occurred at about 12.30pm, all the officers and NCO's of his platoon were also casualties.
