Edward's Story
He was my great uncle and my grandmothers favourite brother! I am named after him (I'm not at all like him). He was very athletic. He enlisted in the terrotorial army in 1908 in his home village in Scotland. He re enlisted several times after that. He first saw action in the Dardanelles, then Ejypt and finally in the British expiditionary force in France. He fell to snipers bullet on 1st August 1918. He now rests in Oulchy-Le-Chateau Curchyard Extention, Aisne, France. I had the opertunity to visit him, in July 2005.
