Christopher Henry's Story

My Great-Grandfather was originally part of the Hussars Regiment but was transferred to the 1/22nd Btn, The London Regiment (The Queens Own).

He was deployed to France and Belgium and awarded the Military Medal in late October 1918.

Less than two weeks later, on the road to Templeuve, he was killed in action, 4 days before the armistice was signed. The last member of his battalion to be killed in battle.

He rests in Tournai Communal Cemetery, Belgium.
