Daniel's Story
Daniel's uniform, shown here, was not the standard L.N.L uniform. The Khaki uniforms were unavailable, due to a surge of men enlisting as soldiers in 1915. Daniel landed in Bosconbe, France of the 26th September 1915, he was inspired to join the army by the Lord Kitchener's poster 'Britons wants yoy. Join your Country's Army!'
Daniel was awarded three medals for his contribution to his country in the war. These were:
The 1914/1915 Star- Was awarded for landing in a theatre of war
The British War Medal- Was awarded for leaving his native shore
The Victory Medal- Was awarded for entering a theatre of war
Daniel did not die in the war, but shortly afterwards,due to lung damage from the Chlorine or Mustard Gas poisoning.
