David's Story
David Coutts was my Grandfather. He was wounded in action during the battle of the somme and was present when his brother, William, was killed in Action in October 1918. Thankfully he survived the war and had four children, one of which was my father William Christie Coutts who served in the Royal Navy during WW2. I am also in the RN carrying on the tradition of my family to serve in the armed forces. I am extremely proud of all the members of my family who have fought and died for our country to preserve our right to live in a democracy as free people.
